This technology allows a spatial/3D-view on animated pictures from multiple perspectives without any accessories like 3D-glasses, marks or tracking systems. How a 3D-monitor works:

Humans experience their environment spatial, as they observe it with their both eyes from two slightly different perspectives. In our 3D-system a so-called auto-stereoscopic 3D-monitor was integrated. The monitor allows to recognize three-dimensional objects without any accessories, as realistic as they would floating in or in front of the monitor. This is enabled by the used parallax-barrier-technology. A mask (barrier) which is fixed on the imaging panel is used to project a virtual stereo-picture/image on the eyes of the observer.

The mode of action of the barrier is easily to understand; just imagine a garden fence: If you closes and open the right and left eye in turn while looking through the pickets, you will recognize behind the fence different objects and plants. Hence, the fence separates the partial picture/image of the stereo collective picture pair of the left and right eye.
